Sporting Capital invested £150,000 into Tumble Gymnastics and Activity Centre. The support helped Tumble open a dedicated facility, providing an inclusive approach to gymnastics and physical activity.

Tumble is a social enterprise based in the north east of England. It has a gymnastics for all approach with an aim to help people of all ages and abilities be more physically active. The centre is designed to create a welcoming offer, providing opportunities for toddlers through to its community focused gym engaging all ages and abilities.

Gymnastics is uniquely recognised as providing early intervention to develop foundation physical literacy and an active habit for life. It is at the core of the Tumble philosophy.

Our support:

• Sporting Capital provided a loan of £150,000 to support equipment costs and provide some initial working capital
• Provided reassurance to key stakeholders, helping to secure a Sport England grant
• Gave Tumble the confidence by testing the assumptions and business model

The facility includes dedicated gymnastics provision, a fitness centre and a café. It provides a range of activities and services with an inclusive pricing structure. A key offer is access to the fitness gym is included with the gymnastic class price, ideal for parents of participating children.
