Links Gymnastics, a not for profit company, secured £130,000 of Club Capital finance to help them expand their offering at a new dedicated gymnastics facility.

Links Gymnastics (Links) has been offering recreational and artistic gymnastics classes to the local community in Windsor & Maidenhead for 11 years, but from non-dedicated sites in schools and at the local leisure centre. The club’s ethos of increasing participation in the sport through fun, inspiring and engaging gymnastics sessions resulted in high demand for its services which meant that Links was running at full capacity, and had built up a large waiting list.

Club Capital support included:

  • Club Capital provided an unsecured loan of £130,000 at an interest rate of 4% to support Links’ move into their new facility and to underpin the expansion of their gymnastics programme
  • Close support for the club throughout the application, due diligence, and post-investment process
  • Ongoing provision of post investment support and advice as the club settles into its new home

Sporting Assets led on the due diligence process and the assessment of Links’ financial position and prospects. Sporting Assets continue to support the club focused on their financial and operational sustainability.

After receiving Club Capital funding, Links was able to secure its first dedicated facility and to expand its gymnastics offering to include pre-school and Free G, which were popular within their local community, and to provide an increased number of spaces in disability classes as the new facility is fully accessible.
