England Athletics wanted to be able to better understand their member clubs’ capability and current position in relation to key aspects such as facilities and governance, in order to create a process to support their improvement. Sporting Assets were commissioned to develop and help pilot the development programme.

Working with England Athletics we developed the key assessment criteria and a framework for creating individual club action plans. The process was piloted with clubs over the following year and led to the creation of a common, evidence-based approach for supporting England Athletics affiliated clubs.

Sporting Assets worked with Lewes CFC to develop their community programme and then raise the finance for a 3G pitch on land secured by a Community Asset Transfer from East Sussex County Council.Read more
