Club Capital invested £173,000 into Corsham Gymnastics Academy to help the club secure a new home in a dedicated facility.

Corsham Gymnastics Academy (CGA) is an established gymnastics club based in Wiltshire. The club offers programmes that are inclusive to all from baby gym, and pre-school, to recreational and disability gymnastics which provide the opportunity for everyone to engage in the sport. Gymnastics is recognised as providing structured development of physical literacy skills from an early age. CGA works hard to ensure the facility, and their classes, are fully inclusive to all.  The new larger, dedicated facility allows the club to provide a wider range of gymnastics classes to those with differing abilities and sensory needs. They also have a programme to enable access for children that are home schooled.

The club intends to continue to expand and develop these parts of their offering in the coming months and years.

Club Capital support included:

  • Club Capital provided a loan of £173,000 at an interest rate of 4% to support CGA’s move into their new facility
  • Closely supported the club throughout the application and due diligence process
  • Provided significant post investment support and advice when the club requested additional assistance

Sporting Assets led on the due diligence process and the assessment of CGAs financial forecast. We continue to support the club with regular meetings to advise on their financial and operational sustainability.

As a direct result of Club Capital funding, and support from Sporting Assets and British Gymnastics, CGA secured a dedicated facility to become its long term home. In addition they have significantly expanded the number of young people who participate in gymnastics from within their local community, and extended their outreach to those with disadvantaged backgrounds and to disability groups.
