Sporting Assets helped Boxing Futures journey to open their first dedicated boxing facility. The facility has catalysed growth for their community and schools offer with an accredited Alternative Education provision programme. We supported the social enterprise through investment readiness support, followed by Sporting Capital investing £70,000 into the new facility.

They had been delivering their programmes (Brothers through Boxing, Sisters through Boxing and Box Out Of It) out of boxing gyms across Peterborough for a number of years. Demand was increasing from schools – leading to a decision by the charity to develop their own boxing and education facility.

Our support included:

  • Securing third party funding for their development support
  • Development advice and support
  • A £50,000 Sporting Capital loan of and £20,000 grant to help refurbish and ‘fit out’ the facility

The facility opened early in 2022, it has already created demand for the charity’s services, with the dedicated capacity provide the capacity for ongoing growth delivery of Boxing Futures services.
