Pitch Together is a new social investment fund developed by Sporting Assets in partnership with England Hockey, and supported by Sport England and Triodos Bank.
Research by Sporting Assets identified a growing need to refurbish ageing artificial grass pitches (AGPs) and develop and improve community sports facilities. Many clubs face financial barriers that limit their ability to invest and grow. In response, Pitch Together was launched in November 2025 to provide affordable finance and support that helps clubs improve their facilities, strengthen sustainability and better serve their communities.
Managed by Sporting Assets and funded by Sport England and Triodos Bank UK, Pitch Together represents a new approach to facility investment. It enables clubs to access affordable loans alongside support and capacity building support, helping to ensure projects are financially and operationally sustainable
The Pitch Together fund offers loans of between £25,000 to £300,000 with an average loan term of 7.5 years, at 6% interest rate. Grant funding is available to support the costs associated with pitch recycling.
Eligible projects include the refurbishment or development of AGPs, lighting, and ancillary facilities such as clubhouses and changing rooms, provided they enhance the club’s social and community impact. By unlocking capital investment, the fund is helping to build a network of high quality, multi sport venues that improve access to sport, strengthen club sustainability, and create healthier, more connected communities.
The fund is now live and accepting eligible applications. More information on eligibility and how to apply is available on the Pitch Together website.
