Director and Investment Manager

Club Capital was designed by Sporting Assets, in conjunction with British Gymnastics. The fund launched in 2020 and is the first social impact investment fund to focus specifically on gymnastics.

Research carried out by British Gymnastics demonstrated that a lack of dedicated facilities was one of the main, proven barriers to young people accessing and benefiting from participating in recreational gymnastics. Club Capital enables investment into dedicated gymnastics facilities to help tackle this issue.

The £10m fund is managed by Sporting Assets and has been funded by British Gymnastics, Sport England, Big Society Capital and the Bank Workers Charity.

The Club Capital fund offers secured and unsecured loans of between £25,000 to £250,000 to enable clubs to move into new, or expand or safeguard existing, dedicated gymnastics facilities. Most loans will be over 4 years at an interest rate of 4%. In exceptional circumstances, acquisition finance may also be available.

The fund is currently live and accepting eligible applications. Further information on eligibility and how to apply can be found on the Club Capital website.
